Riverview: A Melodrama with Music

Set in a turbulent, post-war Chicago, Riverview spans six years beginning on V-J Day and ending in 1951 with another turning point, the Cicero riots. The music-popular Big Band songs of the day by Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mercer, Louis Prima and others-will be contrasted with the less-savory aspects of a big and not always harmonious city.
